Item Description
A relay is an electrically operated switch. It could be Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC). To change its state the coil should be energized. When the coil is de-energized the relay will change back its state to normal state.
Latching relay works different way. It has two coils, Set and Reset. A short pulse on Set will put the relay in Set state. A short pulse on Reset will put the relay in Reset state. The relay will remain in its last state even if the coil is de-energized.
A brief (<1s) pulse to Set will close AC terminals, BC will be open
A brief (<1s) pulse to Reset will close BC terminals, AC will be open
